Beautiful Maybelline is a 10-year-old tri-colored collie who started her life as a show dog. When Maybelline retired from the show at 5 years old, she was adopted by an older lady who loved her very much. Recently, her owner needed to leave her home to be cared for by family and couldn’t take Maybelline along with her. Maybelline made a smooth transition into her foster home. She is a mellow girl who loves everyone. She’s fantastic with people of all ages, cats and other dogs. She loves to play with her foster collie sibling although she does tire easily. In her foster home, Maybelline has learned that the couch is her favorite place to relax.
Maybelline is a very quiet collie and has fantastic house manners. She knows commands but was trained as a show dog not to sit or lie down, so those commands have to be repeated a couple of times before she will act on them. She will come and tell you when she needs to go outside and will bring you her food bowl when she’s hungry. She has some favorite toys that she will carry around wherever she goes and she has a bear she sleeps with. Maybelline has a slight thyroid issue that is easily managed with a daily pill.
